Spiritans in Taiwan & Vietnam

The first spiritans arriving in Taiwan in 1997 and 1998 were welcomed in the Bishop's Curia, where they started their Chinese study. Two years later, the spiritans where given the care of Holy Spirit Parish, where they established a community. In 2007, we established a second community in Hsinchu city, that works as our central house.

By the end of 2007, with the creation of the Taiwan/Vietnam circunscription, we divided ourselves into three communities: two in Hsinchu (Taiwan) and one in Saigon (Vietnam).

On the Christmas of 2011, the Spiritans took charge of the parishes of Chupei and Liujia and established a third Community in Taiwan.

In 2015, they took charge of the parish of Houli, in the neighbouring diocese of Taichung.
